After prayerful consideration the Diocese and the mission have made the decision to close the mission.  Our final liturgy was held on April 1, 2012.  Thank you to all the wonderful people who worshiped with us and visited us during our 3 1/2 year journey.

Please view Fr. Justin Frederick's letter on the closure here.

Holy New Martyrs of Russian Mission Station offers the Gospel once-for-all delivered to the Apostles in the First Century to those hungry for the fullness of the Christian Faith in the twenty-first century.

WE WERE FOUNDED IN OCTOBER 2008:

You are invited to join us in planting a new English-speaking Orthodox parish based in the Georgetown/Round Rock area.  We are an OCA Mission serving all Orthodox Christians in Williamson and northern Travis Counties under the omophor Bishop Nikon of Boston, Locum Tenens of the Diocese of the South.

Learn more about Orthodoxy: The Ancient Faith...for our times. The Orthodox Church, while being ancient, is still quite new to our area. It has been called the 2,000-year-old "new kid on the block."  Many people who are yearning for beauty, traditional theological purity and fullness of faith will find their place in the household of God in the Orthodox Church.
Those who have been Orthodox for many years will be pleasantly familiar with our small, vibrant community and liturgically traditional new home.

Long served bi-monthly by Fr. John Filipovich out of Alpine, Texas, we are now going through a time of transition as we await a resident priest to work with us in proclaiming the fullness of the Christian faith without change, without adulteration, without concession to the spirit of the age, in the city Georgetown and its surroundings.  Fr. Gregory Jensen is currently serving the mission weekly as we prepare for the assignment of a resident priest.
FAITHFUL TO OUR TRADITION:
You might notice that the Orthodox Church hesitates to alter her message and programs to serve the consumer mentality of our age. We are mindful to humbly assemble in the service to the Holy Trinity as we are given the grace and strength to lead joyous lives in repentance, worship and work for the Kingdom of God.
Through the intercessions of the Mother of God, all the Saints and the hundreds of thousands of Holy New Christian Martyrs of Russia who now pray for us, and through the prayers of His Beatitude, Metropolitan Jonah and the Archbishops and Bishops of the Holy Synod of the Orthodox Church in America, may God save us and have mercy upon us. Amen.

SERVICES:

We are currently holding the Vespers and Divine Liturgy weekly.  Vespers is held at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday evening and Divine Liturgy starts at 9 a.m. on Sunday.

For updated service information please refer to the Monthly Calendar on the "Service Schedule" page.

ACTIVITIES:

Our choir sings a wide variety of Russian, Kievan and Carpatho-Rusn chants and hymns, all in the English language.

We are actively starting a Sisterhood, Brotherhood, Church School program and Building Committee.

We welcome everyone to visit and pray with us dedicating our lives to the living Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

If you would like to join us in establishing an evangelical, culturally traditional community, steeped in the faith of the Holy Orthodox Church, please visit us or contact us at 512-364-0660.
